BILL SMITH
Bill is one of the most experienced compensation consultants in the Pacific Northwest with more than 30 years experience in executive compensation consulting and salary management program design. Bill smith has completed over 300 compensation consulting assignments in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. He has authored numerous articles and conducted training on a wide variety of compensation topics in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia.
Bill founded the Seattle office of the Wyatt Company (now Towers Watson) and managed it for many years before returning to full time consulting as Northwest Compensation Practice Leader. He subsequently was a Principal in Milliman’s Compensation consulting practice before founding B$CC in June of 2012.
Bill has assisted a broad cross-section of organizations of all sizes and ownership structures. In addition to working with publicly-traded companies, Bill has is also known for his extensive work with closely-held and privately-owned organizations including numerous multi-generation family businesses and cooperatives.
His consultanting practice includes consultation to board compensation committees on all areas of executive and board remuneration as well as to management regarding pay philosophies and strategies for all employees. He has worked closely with CEOs, other executives, human resources professionals, finance departments,legal staffs, sales personnel and line managers.
Bill is known for his skill in assessing the unique circumstances faced by organizations, his knack for finding creative value-added solutions and his ability to communicate to every type of audience..
